All About Tails of the City
Hi there, I’m Ollie (he/him), owner of Tails of the City! Thanks for checking out my website.
A bit about me — I’ve been in the pet care industry for 6+ years officially (but unofficially as long as I can remember!). Throughout that time I’ve had a loyal base of clients and have worked with all different shapes and sizes of furry family members.
I was inspired to start Tails of the City after working at a local doggy daycare. It was a great experience that taught me so much about dog psychology, safety, and handling dogs of all personalities. I even adopted my current dog while working there after her former parent couldn’t care for her anymore. However, I noticed that some dogs — like my own shy little one — simply aren’t comfortable in a doggy daycare space. Many prefer to stay in the their home and neighborhood, but finding a trusted, repeat sitter, who is both experienced and available is difficult.
I decided to create an alternative for individualized pet care services. Thus, Tails of the City LLC was born!
I grew up in Minnesota to two veterinarian parents from Bosnia. My passion for working with animals definitely comes from them. Our first family dog was an adopted Yorkie mix named Goober. We had parakeets as well. I’m currently the proud pet parent of a second Yorkie mix named Minnie. She is my best friend, and I love to travel with her and take her on hikes in my free time! My hobbies include baking, writing, swimming, singing and flute playing. The name “Tails of the City” was inspired by my love for storytelling and writing. My best creative ideas often come when I spend time around animals :)
